Coming into the home stretch of production was the theme for today. By 6 pm, design teams needed to complete two A0 presentation boards and a 2-minute video communicating an experiential aspect of their Marker Wadden design.
The two presentation boards communicate the design of the island/s, including hard and soft containment choices, ecological structuring above and below the water, human recreation possibilities and construction phasing. An aspect of the phasing plan included clarifying what parts of their design may be “create and maintain” and which may be “create and let go.”
Tomorrow we will travel to the Royal HaskoningDHV office in Amersfoort to present the charrette results to folks from the Marker Wadden project team, including some of the guest reviewers who have donated their time and expertise to this course. And we will celebrate our last day of the program in the Netherlands!
