Today Urban Planner Mayke van Dinter traveled to Utrecht to be a guest reviewer in the afternoon. Students worked at Strowis, and discussed their progress with Mayke in desk reviews by the five design teams.

Working through the large amount of information they received on Wednesday from engineer Jasper Fusilier and avian biologist Mennobart van Eerden, students wrestled with juxtaposing the hydraulic dynamics of the lake, requirements of avian and fish habitat, and possible human recreation options within the framework of phasing the building of islands for the Marker Wadden project.

Mayke will also be joining us for the project presentations next Wednesday, and is excited to see how the projects will develop between now and then.
